Zuckerberg’s secret memo

Share:

I recently read about a memo Mark Zuckerberg sent to his team at Meta. The memo was somehow leaked, or released, I’m not entirely sure about that.

He basically said that they had ignored and missed the rise of TikTok. So he wanted his team to dedicate the year 2025 to “catching up” with TikTok.

I smiled when I read that article. Because it was only a couple of months ago that I despised TikTok as a place where the stupidest kids of the world gathered to be stupid together.

But then I changed my mind when I read Gary Vee’s book, “Day Trading Attention.” He gave a detailed explanation of how TikTok had literally changed the social media game. Like, literally! Otherwise, I know every other gadget, idea or a random brainfart is “game changer” these days.

But no. TikTok literally changed the game. In brief, social media algorithms always aimed to show you things posted by the people you follow. TikTok created the first algorithm to show you things that you are interested in. Regardless of who posted it.

This is absolutely brilliant. As a content consumer, you get to discover new stuff you are interested in. As a content creator, you get to reach newer, bigger audiences rapidly. Bingo!

And of course, other social media platforms quickly started following this philosophy.

So I started looking into TikTok, and needless to say, I fell absolutely in love with it as a platform for content creation and marketing.

And then the Law of Attraction worked its magic. An opportunity to partner with TikTok came in front of me. Of course I jumped on it.

And a deeper dive into TikTok has convinced me that nothing comes close in the potential for personal branding and sheer approachability.

So I’m actively helping content creators and business owners get started and prosper with TikTok. That’s why we had created Dastaan World in the first place, after all.

Our digital headquarters were on Facebook in the beginning. But then I moved it to email. It’s nice and private here. Just us, talking about things that really matter to us. Now I’m actively bringing our Dastaan to TikTok. So follow me there:

If you need more information about how you can use the power of TikTok promoting your own work and brand, just drop me a line.

And remember, the email thing stays. It’s not going anywhere.

Love you loads, Shakaib Feroz
